3 O'clock Art!  After School Program

Monday - Thursday 3:00 - 5:30

3 O'clock Art is where young artists can explore their creativity with a fun blend of instruction and open studio. Students can dip into paint, invent assemblage art, explore cartooning, create masks, produce an abstract masterpiece and much, much more. The children also enjoy indoor group games and outdoor play when weather permits. 3 O'clock Art is child-centered and deliberately different from the school day. The program is instructed by artist/educator Ellis Jacobson who aims to inspire a variety of art projects rather than insist on them. Many students have their own ideas for projects which are facilitated with art materials and constructive comments. Students are often creating different projects from one another. 3 O'clock Art fosters an environment of respect and appreciation for the students and one another. This makes for a great tone in the classroom.

THEATER THURSDAYS (New This Year!)

On Thursdays afterschool we will explore theater arts with a variety of fun activities including theater games, improvisations, creative drama, comedy theater performances, and basic acting instruction!

 February Vacation Camp! February 24th thru 28th, 9:00 - 4:00 

 Puppet & Puppet Show Creation

Students create their own puppet characters and original puppet shows! Children learn to design and build puppets, explore the art of puppetry, and work in small groups to create their own puppet shows to be performed for families and friends at the end of the week. This fun, creative camp has been a great hit with families in past years.
